Nadia's Story
Nadia has over 15 years experience in education and has taken up a variety of roles in this time. Nadia has a keen interest and active role in alternative education and is currently the head of the 14-16 Provision at a large Further Education college in the Midlands. In this role, Nadia works to provide new opportunities where mainstream education hasn’t been successful, and manages the Alternative Provision and Elective Home Education programmes.
Nadia taught as a classroom teacher for 10 years, has worked in quality improvement raising teaching standards and holds a Masters degree in Leadership and Management. Nadia also founded a successful social enterprise and brings a wealth of experience in youth and community development.
As a current PhD candidate, Nadia’s thesis is focused on inclusive education. Nadia is a strong advocate for evidence informed practice to improve the educational experience and outcomes for the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and hard to reach students.
